Following the traces of the Allied airborne landings, the students of the School with some of their professors visited the sites of the parachute drop of the 82nd American Airborne Division near Gela.  They also visited the location of the British glider landing at Ponte Grande (Syracuse), as well as Marzamemi’s beach and the ex-military airport of Augusta.

SAASS (School of Advanced Air and Space Studies) of the United States Air Force Air University (AU) is the US Air Force graduate school for airpower and space power strategists.
